1. Without feeder tank, you should feed cold water manually. It is very inconvenient.
2. Usually in Brazil, the solar water heater is with a big container for cold water on the roof and air vent is higher than the big container. With the big container on the roof, the main tank is full of water. When the water gets hot, if the hot air can't get out quickly, there is much pressure in the tank.
